In an article published on 30 September 2026, BTP Béton (Construction BTP) highlights COPAC Group’s strategic direction for the coming years. Through an in-depth interview with Éric Ferrand, who has served as Group President since late July 2026, the publication explores the key priorities driving the development of our equipment fleets and services: enhanced safety, equipment modularity, and the digitalisation of construction sites.
With 80 employees, more than 100,000 m² of storage facilities, and a rental fleet comprising nearly 20 kilometres of Cantilever Working Platforms (PTE), COPAC is structuring its investments to meet the operational needs of structural construction companies.
Safety and Versatility : Adapting Equipment to On-Site Requirements
The evolution of construction methods, driven by the growth of prefabrication and refurbishment projects, is redefining shoring and formwork requirements.
- Evolution of the Shoring Range : While straight props accounted for 90% of applications three years ago, Push-Pull Props now represent 30% of demand. This autumn, COPAC is introducing a new range of aluminium Push-Pull Props (Euro standard, Classes D and E), optimising the weight-to-load-capacity ratio to reduce physical strain on construction workers without compromising mechanical strength.
- Multi-Purpose Safe Working Platforms : The range, built around Cantilever Working Platforms (PTE), Multipurpose Platforms and Adjustable Podiums, can perform several successive functions on the same structure, delivering direct cost optimisation and continuous protection.
- Secure Material Handling : COPAC highlights its unique positioning with fully enclosed five-sided storage baskets, certified for both weld compliance and Safe Working Load (SWL), meeting the requirements recommended by safety organisations such as CRAMIF.

“Working platforms provide multiple solutions on a single construction site. They deliver real cost optimisation for our customers while enhancing safety during operations.”
Éric Ferrand, President of COPAC Group
Immediate Availability : Securing the Initial Concrete Pouring Stages
Logistical responsiveness remains essential to prevent production downtime from the very start of operations :
- Manual Handling Formwork : Expansion of the Manual Handling Formwork fleet, particularly in demand for the rapid construction of foundations, ground beams and low walls without relying on powered lifting equipment.
- On-Site Beam Formwork Systems : A dedicated fleet of 15 beam formwork systems is available for casting beams directly on site, reducing supply uncertainties and streamlining turnaround cycles.
Digitalisation and Traceability : Towards the Connected Construction Site
The article also highlights the integration of digital tools into COPAC’s services :
- QR Code Traceability : All Cantilever Working Platforms (PTE) in the rental fleet feature an individual QR Code providing instant smartphone access to user manuals, inspection sheets and certificates of conformity. This technical system, validated by CRAMIF, will be extended to formwork platforms in 2027 and 2028.
- Technical Support & Customer Portal : Deployment of a digital layout planning assistant for standard configurations (complementing project-specific studies carried out by our Engineering Department), along with the planned launch in 2027 of a customer portal for real-time monitoring of equipment fleet rotations and movements.
Driving Construction Site Performance
This coverage by Construction BTP reflects the relevance of our technical and industrial choices. By placing feedback from the field at the heart of its approach, COPAC Group reinforces its role as a trusted partner for construction and public works professionals.
Our ambition remains unchanged: to design, maintain and supply reliable equipment that protects construction workers while optimising productivity throughout every stage of structural works.
