At COPAC, we introduce our outrigger working platform, the Copass200, specially designed to ensure safety and facilitate work at height.
Recently deployed on the SPIE construction site in Dunkirk, it proved its adaptability and robustness in a demanding environment, meeting the specific needs of the site.
An adaptable working platform
Designed to meet construction safety requirements, the Copass200 adapts to various site configurations. Fixed with trailing anchors, it can be installed either over or under the slab, depending on the height and access constraints of the area to be secured. Thanks to its fastening system, it provides a solid and secure anchoring, even when the attachment zone is located too high for a standard installation from below. On the Dunkirk site, for instance, the Copass200 was installed from above.
A custom installation for the Dunkirk site
On the SPIE project in Dunkirk, the teams opted for extended over-slab anchors tailored to the structural specifications, enabling optimal installation at the 2nd and 3rd floor levels. The platform thus serves as a loading platform, facilitating the secure transport of materials between the different levels of the construction site.
To avoid any installation issues related to structural openings, the platform feet were placed in a horizontal position, a solution that ensured the stability of the Copass200 in this context. This setup secured the installation and guaranteed flawless operation throughout the project.
Teamwork to overcome technical challenges
Despite a few unforeseen events and technical challenges inherent to this type of project, the Copass200 is now in place and fully operational in accordance with the layout plans provided by our design office.
